All About Me- An introduction

 Hello! Welcome to my blog.

     I am creating this website for my Comm 232 class at Christopher Newport University. I am currently a junior who is majoring in Political Science with a minor in National Security. You might be wondering what a poli sci girl is doing in a communications class. I am taking this class to satisfy a creative expression credit, which I need to graduate. 
   Now to tell you a little about myself. I enjoy playing video games, making jewelry, hanging out with friends, and babysitting. Some of my favorite video games are God of War, Grand Theft Auto, The Last of Us, and Call of Duty Modern Warfare. I enjoy God of War and the Last of Us because they have heartfelt stories, and I am a sucker for a good story. The reason I play Grand Theft Auto, and Call of duty is for the online play. I really enjoy meeting new friends and connecting with people through games. 
    I have recently started making rings from old spoons. For our second anniversary, my boyfriend gifted me all the equipment I needed. This included a Dremel to cut, carve, and sand spoons, a bender to bend them into shape, a hammer and mandrel (which is also for shaping), and an engraver. Jewelry making has quickly become my favorite hobby. I have made rings for all my friends and family. I would one day like to make a business out of it but for now, it's only for fun. 
       I also enjoy babysitting and hanging out with my friends. I am a pretty social person and find joy in being around others. If I'm in my dorm then I am in my common room with my roommates making jokes, watching movies, or doing homework. To make money I babysit. This summer I nannied Monday-Thursday for a family with three kids. The oldest is a witty seven-year-old girl named Evelyn. The middle child is a smart two-year-old girl named Rowan. The youngest is a precious six-month-old boy named Keaton. On Fridays, I worked for a family with one little girl, who was two and named Blake. I had an absolute blast working with these kids and now that the school year has started, I miss them so much.
    Aside from the required posts, I plan on talking more about myself and some of my academic interests. I enjoy doing research and writing about my finds and I hope I am able to discuss research topics. I also plan on talking more about myself and the people who are important to me.
